The Workers-Ecological State of Psuke is a titanic, cultured nation, ruled by Revolutionary Committee with a fair hand, and notable for its complete lack of prisons, free-roaming dinosaurs, and national health service. The compassionate, democratic, humorless population of 13.092 billion Psukeans love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The relatively small, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Education, Industry, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Imperial Harbor. The average income tax rate is 27.3%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Psukean economy, worth a remarkable 2,525 trillion credits a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, quite specialized black market in Information Technology, Book Publishing, Retail, and Arms Manufacturing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 192,867 credits, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Religious education is a new government priority, newborn babies can only be discharged from maternity wards during daylight hours, the rich tend their gardens inside gated urban farming communities, and love is in the air. Crime, especially youth-related, is all-pervasive, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Psuke's national animal is the Sturgeon, which frolics freely in the nation's sparkling oceans, and its national religion is Psukean Orthodox Church.
