The reading programme in Singapore sounds ridiculous. To limit people doomscrolling or being on the Internet watching dancing videos, we will encourage reading. Fine. But to claim your incentive, you have to go on to the Internet where you will open apps to doom scroll. The equivalent is encouraging a fat man to exercise in a bakery.

I know Telgan but when people are reading their book, perhaps on a kindle app, they’re concentrating on one thing and not “doomscrolling”. The initiative catches the attention and gets some people reading books at minimal cost.

Thanks Czechostan. That site is fascinating. Translation has often been treated as more art than science. The interpretations are different but all sound impressively wise.

Goninan looks a good region but unless someone here knows them (?) we will presumably say no.

Nations that aren’t members of the World Assembly don’t necessarily suggest “puppet storage”. You are right. People legitimately have nations in different regions. I do. The fundamental region for refusing the embassy is that we have no history with you.

We have few embassies and like it that way. Those we have are with regions we know well, where we have established contacts. You look a nice region. Maybe we’ll get to know each other better in time.
