How dare you suggest that Switzerland is that simple. The Swiss made far more than just clocks and watches that are commonly referenced to the Swiss by the Ignorant populations of the world. Switzerland was originally formed by the three kantons of Schwyz, Zug, and Uri as a defencive and economic agreement and single handedly expanded their borders with violent and non-violent ways. they were constantly under threat of the Habsburg dynasty who tried on multiple occassions to invade the young Bund and failed every single time, a courtesy of Swiss military strategy, power and geography. Furthermore in 1949 it held the conference to define crimes against humanity outlined by the Geneva conventions. The Swiss Confederation also is one of the most important economic hubs in the world alongside New York, London, and Hong Kong. adding to that, the Swiss Army is incharge of training and providing troops to the Pontificial Swiss Guard of the Pope in the Holy see. So... It is not just the second oldest Democracy (according to the WEF) it is also an important economical and political hub (as seen with the UN head quarters in Geneva) for the world.
