The Peoples' Republic of Someriania is a huge, safe nation, ruled by Somerus I with an even hand, and renowned for its state-planned economy, frequent executions, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed population of 906 million Somerianians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Education, Administration, and Defense. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Kovleine. The average income tax rate is 52.1%, and even higher for the wealthy.

Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Someriania's national animal is the Ant, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.
