The People's Republic of Wolfsgrad is a large, orderly nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, frequent executions, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 50 million Wolves are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The enormous, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 71.1%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but inefficient Wolf economy, worth 1.96 trillion Wolf-Marks a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is highly specialized, is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Uranium Mining, Woodchip Exports, and Information Technology. Average income is 39,279 Wolf-Marks, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

At least 1% of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs budget goes to Leader's wardrobe, deceased politicians' MyFace profiles are unanimously pro-incumbent, Leader's perky ego is the talk of the town, and those found guilty of illicit affairs are jailed. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Wolfsgrad's national animal is the Arctic Fox, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.
