The Empire of DaWu is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Wu Emperor with an even hand, and renowned for its triple-decker prams, ubiquitous missile silos, and irreverence towards religion. The compassionate population of 2.859 billion Wu are prohibited from doing almost everything except voting, which they do timidly and conservatively.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Education, Administration, and Defense. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Wuxi. The average income tax rate is 62.5%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The all-consuming Wu economy, worth 293 trillion Wu Yuan a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Tourism, Basket Weaving, and Retail. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 102,806 Wu Yuan, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Prisons in DaWu are the summer homes of murderers, giant no-kill traps baited with Bapst Red Ribbon and vintage bicycles have been popping up in back alleys nationwide, politicians can't accept birthday presents from their own children, and when electric cars arrived nobody heard them coming. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. DaWu's national animal is the South China tiger and its national religion is Wu Folk Religion.
