Minoa and Mycenaea, like ying and yang, are two independent and unaligned transcontinental regions with competing visions. They are named after the Greek civilisations that existed in the Bronze Age: both regions compete to be abundant with culture, sea life, technology, forests and birds (yes, everyone loves BIRDS).

Yes, I am here but I am just busy with other things.

The State of Minoa

Due to continued personal health issues, I have started retiring more nations in my portfolio.

Yesterday, all the nations in Minoa Regions, which existed for roleplay purposes regarding Minoa, have been retired along with the region, as well as two other nations (Elladesia, Guinea and Bissau).

Later today, I will wind down the operations of the Dystopia, Helena, Minoa Annex, NSindex and The Vault regions, all of which have not been successful, and also retire another 15 of my nations, including four founders.

Hello! :3 Just passing by and sending out my greetings to Miss Minoa and the region that sadly seems to have fallen mostly into inactivity. Lol I actualy wanted to do a region walkabout of a sort but find myself too tired and busy for that. Definitely wanted to pass by Minoa at least and send my best wishes.

Hope the region and especialy Minoa can recover again. My best wishes and blessings, happieness and health for everyone. Farewell for now.

UK Emergency Alerts advice
for victims of domestic violence, and people with anxiety

⚠️ The next test is on Sunday 7 September 2025, at 15:00 BST (Linklearn more) ⚠️


Introduction

The Emergency Alerts service is designed to warn of imminent danger to life nearby, such as severe flooding, extreme weather, and wildfires: it does not require anyone’s phone number or location to send an alert.

The development of the Emergency Alerts service started before the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

The Emergency Alerts will be accompanied by a loud siren-like sound, even if your phone is on silent. Therefore, the Emergency Alerts service may not be suitable for everyone, such as:

  • Victims of domestic violence, who have a secret smartphone

  • People going through anxiety

This bulletin shows you how to disable Emergency Alerts, and alternatives to Emergency Alerts.


Disabling Emergency Alerts

This is what you should do if you have an Apple iPhone:

  1. On the home screen, locate and tap on Settings, which is shown as a silver icon with gears

  2. Scroll down and tap on Notifications

  3. Scroll down to the bottom to see the Emergency Alerts section

  4. Turn off both Extreme Alerts and Severe Alerts by tapping those switches, so they appear grey, instead of green

This is what you should do if you have an Android smartphone, such as the Samsung Galaxy:

  1. On the home screen, locate and tap on Settings, which is shown as a silver icon with gears

  2. In the search bar, type “emergency alerts”

  3. In the search results, select Emergency alerts (the first result)

  4. Tap the switch next to the two Extreme Alerts options, so that they appear grey instead of in colour

  5. Tap the switch next to the Test Alerts option, so that they also appear grey

  6. Tap the switch next to the Vibrate, Vocal alert messages and Use full volume options, so that they all appear grey

You need to manually disable Emergency Alerts on every smartphone that you own: the opt-out settings will not automatically synchronise between devices.

Alternatives to Emergency Alerts

If you do not wish to receive Emergency Alerts, it is important to keep up to date on the news and weather through other means:
