| The Badlands Beyond The Brink of The Bizarre | Which god is that? There are so many. And then, of the monotheistic beliefs, so many different versions of the "one true god". And some of them even have a triune version of one, which is really confusing, especially the ones with a father, son, and no mother, just some so-called "holy ghost", whatever that is supposed to be. By archeology, the first of the "one true gods" was Aten, but that Ancient Egyptian faith has disappeared. Of the extant monotheistic beliefs, that of Ahura Mazda of the Zoroastrians is the oldest. There is such a long string of them since, all different, that it is impossible to know what a person means when all they say is, "god". Could even mean a flying spaghetti monster these days. |
