The Republic of Ocean Waters is a very large, efficient nation, renowned for its public floggings, digital currency, and frequent executions. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 285 million Oceanians are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The minute, corrupt, moralistic, pro-business, well-organized government, or what there is of one, prioritizes Industry, with Defense, Law & Order, and Spirituality also on the agenda, while Environment and International Aid receive no funds. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 4.3%.

The powerhouse Oceanian economy, worth 28.7 trillion Ocean Water Dollars a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Gambling industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Soda Sales, and Retail. Average income is an impressive 100,651 Ocean Water Dollars, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 665,373 per year while the poor average 5,875, a ratio of 113 to 1.

Crime pays, it's said that any enemy of democracy is a friend to Leader, Mr Happy's Funland has just been named Ocean Waters's new capital, and seafood restaurants assure customers 'If it lives in the sea, it's on our menu'. Crime is a major problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Ocean Waters's national animal is the Whale, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to heavy metals seepage into national waterways.

Ocean Waters is ranked 252,945^th in the world and 3,611^th in The East Pacific for Most Cultured, scoring 63 on the Snufflebottom-Wiggendum Pentatonic Scale.
