Mutiny in the South

Drêifahne Erik von Brandt, a seasoned naval officer who had defended the southern seas for a long time now in the name of the Kaiser, being a relative of the, Lok von Brandt, who’s legendary defense has spread far. Despite being a higher rank than his cousin, he was jealous at his cousin’s glory while he remained unrewarded for defending the seas for 2 years, not allowing the enemy to land behind them. Alongside him at the moment stood Kâpitan Amelia von Falkenrath, a rising star, having felled 7 Black Navy ships with her ship alone, also making him jealous as he thought, by the end of this war, he would have no glories to call himself as there were no orders given to the fleet. This jealousy caused him to be blinded to mistreatment and even encourage it in the name of discipline.

However, within the bowels of the same ship and throughout the fleet, whispers of dissent swirled due to the long preferential treatment to the land army. Sektôrhâupt Lukas, a seasoned sailor who was discontent with their treatment at sea. With whipping being a common practice or straight up executions for any minor hints of complaints. The officers onboard did not care for them at all. He’d rally discontented crew members to his cause, keeping it secret from loyal watchers. The growing dissent found its voice in even in Schûtzhâupt Isabelle, whose position was to execute said crew, which she did not enjoy much of.

As the fleet cut through the turbulent waters, avoiding Ryukaze waters in careful maneuvering, Erik von Brandt announced he intended for them to go on the attack to help destroy the southern pocket in the coast of Fîsch and then to push onward into the enemy controlled waters. Unbeknownst to him as the fleet continued. Multiple sailors on multiple ships as they were about to enter battle, unfurled banners of the Black Navy over the ship's masts, a declaring their new allegiance to the rebel cause. In a swift and shocking turn of events, Drêifahne Brandt was overpowered by his own crew, stripped of his command, as well as the other officers onboard. The few remaining loyal ships would rally under Kâpitan von Falkenrath as they retreated back Westward, with the newly made traitors proving their allegiance by firing at those who didn’t change their mast. Only 3 ships remained loyal as they returned to port to relay the news.

The once-mighty southern navy, was now fragmented and fractured, setting sail as a formidable addition to the Black Army's forces. Joining the rising and keeping the pocket in the south alive with supply runs until they could be broken out.

A Miracle Victory

In the waning days of the conflict, the Kaiserreich rallied its forces for the final push, to put the final nail in the coffin, not even a day after they had seized much land, they would be emboldened forth by the Crowned Prince as he spoke to the entire Army group under his command.

“My valiant soldiers, today marks a great victory against the traitors that besmirch our Goddess’s good name with their filthy lips. The time for closure of this chapter, this test of our Divine Lady, a test of our strength and unity that we will overcome. For too long, two long years now, our land has been engulfed in the flames of conflict, tearing apart families, communities, and our beloved holy nation. But hear me, for now is the time for us to end this.

Sons and daughters of Viktoria, our blood will be spilled on these same lands that our martyred ancestors, saints, and heroes have sacrificed for us to exist. Each of us are able to reach such extraordinary feats as well to continue this land’s existence. Her light guides our steps, Her will is clear. Our cause is clear and just. There will be no greater glory to be obtained for centuries after this, our descendants shall speak of as well.

Know this, my comrades, you are the guardians of our land, the protectors of our values, and the bearers of Viktoria's divine will. With courage in our hearts and determination in our souls, we shall prevail. Let not the weariness of past battles cloud your spirit, for victory lies just ahead, waiting for us to claim it.

The fields echoed with the resounding cries of valiant soldiers, prepared to face the final test of their Divine Lady's will. The land quivered under the weight of anticipation as the opposing forces converged on the battlefield. With resolute will and faith, the Kaiserreich charged forth on all fronts once more in spite of their lack of supplies, catching the Black Army offguard who had assumed they’d wait at least a month to launch another attack. However, the Prince knew this and did not allow them the chance to recover and dig in.

Faith Rewarded: Viktoria's Angels

As the chaos of battle unfolded, an ethereal presence seemed to grace the war-torn fields. Soldiers, on the side of the Kaiserreich witnessed celestial bodies, those similar to paintings long ago that matched those of Viktoria’s Ûhrmeisters. Upon seeing Viktoria's angels on the battlefield hovering over their Prince in haze of guts and gunpowder. He would charge forth with his heavy shock cavalry into the Black Army’s flanks. Leading the faithful forward, as it was reported after the battle, not one scratch was made on the blessed bloodline of Mourhürst. Such a miracle, made the Black Army hesitate if they were fighting on the right side, and as if to capitalize on this doubt, the Crown Prince created an ultimatum, spread on every battlefield. Surrender now and be pardoned for taking up arms against the Kaiserreich, or die as traitors… and many would throw away their weapons, not having the will to fight, in what they viewed, as Viktoria’s clear will on the field of battle.

Remnants

Of course, not all surrendered as a minority continued partisan action after larger resistance movements were purged in Her name. The traitorous Navy was never seen again as they never docked in any port. Their last sailing sighting was to the East, gone as it seemed, for a long time. As the dust settled and the echoes of battle faded, the toll of the conflict weighed heavily upon all Kriegers. A solemn report tallied the collective sacrifices made throughout the war.

Prayers to the Fallen

Despite the conflicting loyalties that once divided them, the fallen soldiers, regardless of their banners, were honored with the dignity they deserved, for they had kept their oaths to their commanders to the bitter end, no matter if the side was opposing. All of the fallen that could be found were laid to rest with the sacred rites bestowed upon them as bonfires lit around in mourning across the country, that even in night it seemed as though a great fire enveloped the continent. In the end, they were all Kriegers, united in the same faith, although with misguided intentions.

The Victory Parade

Amidst a nation still reeling from the wounds of the war, a triumphant procession was planned and done in a week after the mourning period. The streets, once marred by war, now echoed with jubilation as a grand parade weaved its way through the cities from the furthest Western border town to the Easternmost coast that lasted 9 weeks on a constant march around to every single city. Heroes of the war, revered for their valor and sacrifice, led the procession, and as they ended it in the capital. Banners billowed in the wind, each one bearing the names and symbols of their house and region. The Crown Prince, flanked by his loyal companions, rode at the forefront, throughout the march. The air was thick with celebration and reverence as the people gathered to witness its full glory.

Though, the Kaiser, Walbrecht von Mourhürst was not idle during this as he rewarded every soldier land that was free from taxation for 100 years. Land that used to belong to traitors, now in abundance to be rewarded to loyal nobles who then distributed it down the line to their vassals. The Kaiser made sure that in this process, every soldier who fought would be rewarded and given a campaign medal. As for the church, it was decided after much debate to not be disbanded, but that they were forbidden from being involved within political matters, as well as acknowledged the fact the Kaiser held greater divinity than them and could more accurately judge Viktoria’s will. That the church is meant to be teachers of the faith, not its rulers, as that was the role Viktoria bestowed upon the Kaisers. Giving the church a new purpose within the nation, to spread Her word. Loyal clergywomen that stayed with the Kaiserreich since the start would be given preferential treatment to their churches by the Kaiser while those who had become traitors would be locked up in prison, awaiting trials that was to be conducted by the church that was now under the Kaiser’s command. As for the nobles, each one had sworn loyalty once more as the Imperial Parliament was officially dissolved and the Kaiserreich was now a true autocracy. With these policies introduced to ensure stability, the next step was advancement and they had learned much about this war and how valuable speed was. More research would be put into industrializing the nation as they learned about what their neighbors have done for the past year. It was time to catch up, first they needed a mode of transportation that could carry more material across the Kaiserreich at a decent speed. Then the someone decided, why not attach the wagons together and have a lot of horses pulling? Coming up with giving a wagon with wheels on a predetermined path of steel railways to ease the pressure on said horse. It definitely delivered supplies at a faster pace than using normal wagons with a convoy of horses. The only downside was how much time it took to build up a railway network for the initial costs. There was also the human cost of the civil war that was being noticed. Many skilled craftsmen were killed, many of which did not have great apprentices. Causing a shortage of skilled workers. The Dukedom to the West, noticed this issue and decided. Why not divide the work in creating tools and weapons? Streamlining it to where a worker only needed to memorize one part of making the item, then passing it along down the line. Each person being given a job to do, with such a method, it also increased employment for those without jobs due to the war’s destruction. Finding purpose in the cities now to make a living, many selling off their land due to how badly damaged it was to noblemen or merchants. The church would meanwhile in this momentary crisis, offer shelter and aid to those on hard times, aiming to help them stand back on their feet, subsidized by the Kaiserreich as people more so trusted their local clergy than the old church that looked to have authority over all practitioners of the faith.

Things couldn't have been bloodier.

Aldorria had attempted to stage several counteroffensives against Canyon Prime over the course of the latter part of the summer months, but the fighting always bogged down as both sides lacked much organization due to the sudden advance of the Canyon Prime forces into the area. However, following Canyon Prime's failure to cross the Volga for a second time, Aldorria managed to concentrate enough forces to stage a mass breakthrough, liberating territories on the opposing shore of the Volga and driving Canyon Prime out of a small part of Wesmar, liberating two provinces. However, casualties are quite high at this stage of the war, with 21,057 deaths in total for both sides. As the winter begins, only time may tell how this war continues to progress.

THE YEAR HAS JUMPED TO 1800

Over the course of the past seven years, the fate for the Aldorrian peninsula has been contested by the regional powers of Aldorria and Canyon Prime. However, Canyon Prime's successes weren't to last, as eventually Aldorria was able to break the stalemate, slowly driving Canyon Prime to the gates of their capital. Wesmar and Svetlapol have been decimated by these campaigns, being the primary battleground for years now, having become increasingly reliant on Aldorria.

Total military deaths have reached 174K+, with civilian casualties measuring anywhere between 400,000-800,000+.

However, Aldorria has the initiative, and should Canyon Prime's capital fall, it is likely that it will be wiped off the face of the earth, or at the very least reduced to another Sister Republic of Aldorria.

Battle of Coruscant, Treaty of Wesmar

In the early morning hours of the cold January morning, an Aldorrian force of 30,000 launched an assault on the Canyon Prime capital of Coruscant. While initially unable to dislodge the 15,000 defenders, a hole was punched into the line, causing both lines to fold into one another and the battle soon turned into a disorganized street-to-street gamble where one wrong move meant death, and possibly the loss of the battle. However, after hours of intense fighting that stretched into the following day, Aldorrian forces managed to finally expel the defenders from the city. Casualties were extremely high though, numbering upwards of 22,729. Civilian casualties numbered in the tens of thousands.

Afterwards, peace talks were held in the city of Wesmar, with Canyon Prime ceding everything on the southern and western shores of the Neva River to Svetlapol and Wesmar. However, Svetlapol soon folded into Aldorria following the peace talks due to the economic strain the war had taken on them as well as the devastation of their home territories and newly acquired ones. Wesmar was less affected however, and as such retained independence. Canyon Prime was also forced into an economic union with the rest of the Aldorrian states in the southwest, dubbed the "Aldorrian System," a military and trade agreement which effectively reaffirmed Canyon Prime and Wesmar's places as Aldorrian puppet states.

Russian troops attempted to capitalize on Canyon Prime's weakness but made little ground and were thrown back. A ceasefire was sooned soon after.

After talks with the Russian government, the possibly of a transnational railway has been postulated, however, in order to study the economic viability of this project, corporations of Ithaca-Patou spearheaded by IPGI have begun to conduct business in the country and look to open a branch office and factories in southern Russia near the border with the southern nations as a show of trust in the Russian government.

Iron and Blood

Aldorria had come to a crossroads. On one hand, it now occupied the near entirety of its former sister republic of Canyon Prime. On the other hand, however, these new lands were sparsely populated. Defending these lands from the nomadic horde of the Shahsanha would be a feat in itself. However, issues would not arise in Canyon Prime. Following the second disaster at Volchov, Ladoga was cut off from reinforcement and has been under siege for upwards of a year now. Yet, the Republican government in Aldorria City have done nothing, sending messages of reinforcements to Ladoga that likely never made it through Shahsanha lines. Mannerheim was tired. He was tired of a war that was stalled by needless bureaucracy. The Republic was failing, and the addition of Canyon Prime would overtax the already overstretched administration. The Republican experiment would fall if not given guidance.

And so it was. On April 3rd, 1802, Mannerheim and his guard marched into Parliament and disbanded it bloodlessly. The office of the Consul was created and Mannerheim and his two closest advisors were all given the rank, creating what was effectively a triumvirate. The Republic would be guided forward with an iron fist, and soon that fist would be tainted in blood. Mannerheim was going to relieve the siege of Ladoga himself.

The Central Conglomerate's Conquest over the Considerable Continent is Coming (CCCCCC)

War. It has been declared onto Canyon Prime.

Following the formation of the Central Conglomerate, the Conglomerate has stretched from shining sea to shining sea. Filled with diversity unheard or unseen in centuries. The people yearn for a better way of life, and they have radicals amongst their midst that believe that independence is the first step towards betterment. . . that the Conglomerate will eat itself apart. It is none sense, for the Central Conglomerate is the Greatest Power in the entire continent, perhaps world. We have vast biomes of everything you could imagine, all the natural resources we could dream of. Untapped protentional.

But, why have we set our sights onto the pitiful nation that is Canyon Prime? Unremarkable and uninteresting as it may be, crushing it like the stain of the continent it is will show us to be powerful indeed. It is also of strategic importance. Swiftly under our subjugation, we could establish a foot-hold south of the continent. Secure our hold. Then we could move onto bigger and more better projects.

Raise the banners, beat the drums. The sound of war is coming to Canyon Prime.

Canyon Prime's Frontline Shatters, Prim Falls, Word Spreads to Aldorria

Following a series of battles, where most notably the 12th and 14th Prim Regiments held their ground valiantly while under constant assault, the Canyon Prime eastern flank finally shattered, allowing Central Conglomerate forces to march straight into Prim. The Army of the Northwest has immediately begun a hasty march across the Neva River, to hold there and await Aldorrian reinforcements, should they arrive.
