If you are reading this, then you are probably here to find out how to get started with Astoria Roleplay. Our roleplay is modern tech and features a custom map created by Koronic, which you can join by following a few simple steps described in this document.

If you have any questions, please contact the roleplay administrator Astoreus or our cartographer Koronic.

How to be added to the map

  1. Meet the requirements:

    To join our roleplay you must be a citizen of the region or a WA member and endorse Koronic. You can apply for citizenship LinkHERE.

  2. Fill out the application form and send it to the Cartographer:

    The application must be filled out completely and include the following:

    • Account Name:

      the name of your NationStates nation, which must be located in Astoria.

    • IC Nation Name:

      What your country is called in the roleplay, for example, a NationStates account named "Astra" might be called "The Borgian Empire" in character.

    • Government Type:

      The basic form of government of your country (e.g., "Democratic Republic"). If you have trouble defining your country's form of government, you can refer to Linkthis list.

    • Population:

      Your population must be between 1 and 90 million. The cartographer reserves the right to change the population number depending on your claim.

    • GDP per capita:

      Your GDP per capita must be in U.S. dollars (US$). Your GDP per capita must not exceed US$ 40,000.

    • Claim Location:

      Indicate your claim location
      You have two options for this:

      • You draw your claim, upload it to an image hosting site (e.g. imgBB.com, imgur.com or Postimg) or Discord and paste the link into your telegram.

      • If you are unable to draw your claim, provide a general description of your claim in your telegram and have the cartographer draw it.

    You can apply by clicking '| Apply to Join |' below, filling out the template and clicking 'send'. The cartographer will notify you when your application has been accepted.

What is the World Assembly?

The World Assembly is the world's governing body. It's your chance to mold the world to your vision, by voting for resolutions you like and scuttling the rest.

In NationStates there are two main benefits to WA membership: you can vote on resolutions, and you can give and receive endorsements to and from other nations in your region, which determines who is the WA Delegate.

Why should I join the WA?

In Astoria joining the World Assembly and endorsing Koronic gives you a boost:

  1. By joining the WA and endorsing Koronic you increase our power in the WA, making our region stronger, more respected and secure while also increasing the influence of your nation.

  2. If you endorse Koronic you can claim a spot on our Regional Map and become a Knight of Astraea!

How do I join the WA and Endorse Koronic?

  1. Head over to the Settings page and add your email to the box shown.

  2. Go to the World Assembly page by clicking 'World Assembly' on the side of your screen

  3. Click 'Apply to Join'

  4. Find the link in your email- it's the one you signed up to NationStates with!

  5. Click the link and click the 'Confirm: Join World Assembly' button:

  6. Congratulations, you are officially in the World Assembly!!

After you have joined, go to the the WA Delegate's nation, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click [Endorse Koronic].[/box]
