The Incorporated States of Trytedald is a small, efficient nation, remarkable for its ubiquitous missile silos and compulsory military service. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, devout population of 20 million Trytedaldians are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The relatively small, pro-business, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Spirituality. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8.5%.

The very strong Trytedaldian economy, worth 1.38 trillion kronor a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Gambling industry, with major contributions from Basket Weaving, Retail, and Information Technology. Average income is 69,015 kronor, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 236,049 per year while the poor average 14,833, a ratio of 15.9 to 1.

Weighted heels are added to military boots to ensure diminutive celebrities meet minimum requirements, wounded veterans can only get prosthetics if they agree to become walking billboards for the arms industry, Leader's Dreadnought-class tankbuster limousine is said to have more ammunition than the entire Brancalandian Army, and plain-clothes police officers follow Dàguó tourists everywhere they go. Crime, especially youth-related, is relatively low, thanks to a capable police force. Trytedald's national animal is the fox, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.
