The Aesican Raûmede of Solyv is a massive, orderly nation, ruled by Eochya de Vovannes with an iron fist, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape, compulsory military service, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.665 billion Solyvians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, well-organized government is primarily concerned with Defense, although Law & Order, Administration, and Education are also considered important, while International Aid and Welfare are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sanvièe. The average income tax rate is 28.9%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The strong Solyvian economy, worth 92.8 trillion Roubles a year, is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Gambling, Information Technology, and Automobile Manufacturing. Average income is 55,732 Roubles, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.0 times as much as the poorest.

Theatre may or may not be changing for the better but it is being changed for good, everyone apparently sends Eochya de Vovannes hair-filled lockets, offers to die heroically, and poetic desires to co-parent a child, droves of former desperados are applying to join the border police, and fashion models are guaranteed to be 100% genuinely as anorexic as they appear on magazine covers. Crime, especially youth-related, is almost non-existent, thanks to a capable police force. Solyv's national animal is the Solyv Eagle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution, and its national religion is Solyèvean-Rite Aethelism.

Solyv is ranked 135,343^rd in the world and 150^th in Aesica for Most Scientifically Advanced, scoring 79.37 on the Kurzweil Singularity Index.
