The United Socialist Republic of Zynax is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Candelaria Perez Isiordia with a fair hand, and notable for its smutty television, keen interest in outer space, and punitive income tax rates. The compassionate, democratic population of 2.048 billion Zynaxians are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

Research grant proposals read like political diatribes, children are disappointed to learn that cavemen never had a yabba-dabba-doo time riding dinosaurs to work, the words guilty and evidence have left the Zynaxian lexicon, and small children are learning a lot of new words from a teacher with Tourette Syndrome. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zynax's national animal is the Jaguar, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.
