The State of Cambany is a huge, efficient nation, notable for its sprawling nuclear power plants, ubiquitous missile silos, and irreverence towards religion. The compassionate, cynical population of 550 million Cambanians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. The nation's forests are full of treasure hunters in military-grade survival gear, gardeners must genetically test weeds for unique traits before digging them up, the government's giant servers are often used as a tourist trap, and old warplanes and tanks that break down can't be repaired since no one makes the parts anymore. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Cambany's national animal is the Robin, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.
