The People's Jamahiriya of Herzliyya is a gargantuan, genial nation, ruled by the Herzliyyan People's Vanguard with an even hand, and renowned for its multi-spousal wedding ceremonies, hatred of cheese, and absence of drug laws. The compassionate, democratic, humorless population of 40.662 billion Herzliyyans have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The government — a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked morass — juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Law & Order, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Verda Urbo. The average income tax rate is 99.4%.
