The Duck with a monocle of CzechoSaxony is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by Queen Kája with an iron fist, and notable for its ritual sacrifices, keen interest in outer space, and suspicion of poets. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless population of 1.557 billion Czechosaxonians are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The relatively small, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Defense, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Praha. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 39.3%.

The frighteningly efficient Czechosaxonian economy, worth 218 trillion korunas a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Gambling, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. Black market activity is rampant. Average income is an impressive 140,444 korunas, but there is an enormous disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 837,411 per year while the poor average 10,760, a ratio of 77.8 to 1.

Bounty hunters have been dispatched to hunt down rogue bounty hunters, political visitors are forced to stop ten paces from Queen Kája's throne, CzechoSaxony isn't the only thing that's falling apart, and every fourth child is born with flippers instead of hands. Crime, especially youth-related, is all-pervasive, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. CzechoSaxony's national animal is the ducc, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.
