via New Lacia | The Unitary Republic of XXURBANXX | You do not need to be a resident to be a citizen. It's a good a time as any to apply for citizenship! The election for the next Prime Censor is coming up the 18th of December. A new Prime Censor will be decided the 20th after a 2 day election. After that, with approval from the current Censor, as the only member of the Chamber of Deputies, will be asked to approve a motion to transition New Lacia to a sortition-style system, where a list of Deputy candidates will be chosen at random. The results of that will assume their seats the 22nd. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Have a nice day, and merry christmas. - Prime Censor XXURBANXX |

via New Lacia | The Unitary Republic of XXURBANXX | Lacia Decides: Repeal GA#80? For the current World Assembly GA vote, I vote FOR to repeal GA#80, a bill passed in 2010 seeking to guarantee that citizens of WA member states always have access to education. This is a noble cause, but unfortunately one that overlooks that under ideal circumstances, nations would be able to guarantee primary education for its citizens. The unfortunate truth is that the reason so many member states lack access to education is not due to some kind of government policy (most of the time), but rather that these states, and especially their citizens, simply cannot afford to send off an entire generation to school. In effect, such a bill as GA#80 in practice has only made difficult the lives of the every man, levying a burden upon their shoulders that those on the lower end cannot uphold with their income. Therefor, I vote FOR on the bill to repeal GA#80. WA Member states, what are your thoughts? |
