Oldtown is a city located on Whispering Sound on the southwestern coast of the Reach. It was constructed around the Hightower, the seat of House Hightower on Battle Isle. The Citadel, home to maesters and their Conclave, is located in Oldtown, and the city also contains the Starry Sept, formerly the seat of the High Septon of the Faith of the Seven.

Built by the First Men before the coming of the Andals, Oldtown is the largest and richest city in the Seven Kingdoms
