Oh yeah same thing happened to me ~12 years ago.

My right eye is what they call a "lazy eye", meaning that it can't change its focal distance much: Its difference from the left eye means that if I put two copies of a document next to each other, and concentrate, I can scan one of them with each eye... and my mind interprets this as both eyes scanning a single document, but if there are any differences between the two copies then they stand out.

Wow,what some people could consider a disability turns out to be a superpower! I could definitely use a skill like yours for recovering the weird changes my advisors make on the drafts I send them. Some of them have to be reverted, and it is hard to track them. (P.S. They don't always use "Track Changes" and even if they do, I might accidentally click "Accept All Changes" and then the paper is screwed.)

Today we started work on a new piece in my high school choir. It's a piece by Don MacDonald, called When The Earth Stands Still, and I just thought I would share it here. It's a piece equally melancholic and hopeful, with great lyrics and harmonies, and the sheet music makes my inner music theory nerd happy. I found a choir that does it justice, and I've been listening to it on repeat.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TblfKYYnCN4

And the poem it's based off:

Come listen in the silence of the moment before rain comes down.
There’s a deep sigh in the quiet of the forest and the tall tree’s crown.

Now hold me.
Will you take the time to hold me and embrace the chill?
Or miss me,
will you take the time to miss me when the earth stands still?

Cause there’s no use running
cause the storm’s still coming
and you’ve been running for too many years.

Come listen in the silence of the moment before shadows fall.
Feel the tremor of your heartbeat matching heartbeat as we both dissolve.

Now hold me….

Cause there’s no use running
cause the storm’s still coming
and you’ve been running for too many years.

So stay with me, held in my arms
Like branches of a tree
They’ll shelter you for many years.

It's a love song about living in the present, but it has so much environmental symbolism, I feel that it just fits here.

That dispatch is satire :P

Volaworand wrote:yes, every nation gain a point each major and minor update, plus a point for each endorsement they have.

A non-WA nation will earn 2 points a day, just for being alive and here.

A nation with 10 endorsements would earn 42 points per day. If you actively give out endorsements, as more nations endorse you back it goes up fast from there. Influence does eventually decay, but i'm not sure the exact way that works.

Thanks for the information! I've decided to join the WA after all.

Probably a lot. I don't know either though, this is the first time in days I've been on NS for more than 1 or 2 minutes.

Hey, then maybe you missed somebody trying to impersonate you under a different name over on GI?
