Official Post from the Foreign Ministry

Keeping the government post train rolling today, please check your telegrams for extensive information about the new embassy poll that was posted today, about opening an embassy with the region of Thaecia. Their foreign minister Hulldom, present here in Forest as Hazel Grove, has offered to field any additional questions you may have during the embassy voting process. Please check out the region, read the telegram, discuss your thoughts, and cast your vote!

Howdy everyone! Re-upping what Verdant Haven said. If you want to reach me very quickly (like within a few minutes) you can also feel free to TG Hulldom or DM me on Discord @AsquithsAngels#9419 as I'm also in the Forest server. Would love to hear from you all!

The Colony of Blue Nagia

Just wanna say, I'm pretty new to this game but I'm loving the transparency, honesty, and dedication to its ideals that Forest espouses and continues to espouse. You all are fantastic, and I'm proud to have Blue Nagia be a part of Forest.

Thaecia's application seems perfectly lovely! I particularly like that there's an environmental commitment in there, which could certainly lead our two regions to work closely together on matters of OOC and IC importance.

The Tsardom of Lura

I've been thinking about becoming an ambassador for a while, and I like the look of Thaecia, so unless Hazel Grove or some other native of the region would like it, I would like to offer myself to take the position, should the embassy vote pass.

The Most Serene Republic of The Most Serene Republicans

I was working on a big worldbuilding thing for MSR

Like, it included a big visual revamp of a bunch of things, and a big shift in positions of a lot of political parties, which are how I determine the decisions I take for each issue.

I was very proud of it, too. The Communist Party monopolizing the left-wing while the other parties either shifted to the left or were forced to accept the succesful policies of the CPMSR was going to accidentally start a domestic ethno-nacionalist problem, and also eventually lead to the foundation of a solarpunk party opposing to that problem. I had almost all the lore planned. All in time for that moment when I ask you all to vote on a poll to help me decide how to conduct MSR for the next three months.

I lost all of it. The file is gone and it's already overwritten. I cannot recover the almost two hours total of work I put into it.

:):):):):) i know this is just a game but i'm mad still

The Green Technocracy of Uan aa Boa

Hazel Grove, you've clearly put considerable work into your embassy request. I'd like to ask what difference opening an embassy with Thaecia will actually make. We've had numerous past charm offensives from regions we've never heard from again after the poll (looking at you, Osiris, though there plenty more.) Apart from another name at the end of our embassy list what can we expect?

The April Showers of Ruinenlust

.: Official Shamefulless World Assembly Plug Post :.

Dear Friends,

Continuing the parade of government posts (hehe...please don't hate me for banging on this drum again), I continue to be honored and humbled by all of the endorsements that you, the fine citizens of Forest, have seen fit to give me. As I recently expressed to Ransium in a telegram, it is really amazing how Forest seems to be continually on a trajectory of growth and of nations who see fit to engage with the region via their World Assembly status. As of this writing, you have given me a total of 114 endorsements, which often makes me one of the largest "smaller" delegates in the voting pie chart of resolutions. It is moreover wonderful that we have a high level of cross-endorsements within the community, as having dozens of nations with 60, 70, 80, etc. endorsements is very good for the accumulation of regional influence. In our new present and future situation as a Founderless region, it is very important for regional security that we maintain a high level of endorsements, and this is something that we are already doing wonderfully.

Having said that, (and since I haven't done this since some time in December), I'd like to humbly ask that the following nations consider endorsing me, since they have not yet done so. This is not meant to call anyone out or make you feel like you have to endorse me, because you absolutely don't have to. Yet, perhaps each of you would consider how each endorsement incrementally builds us up as a region, and how also extending your endorsement to many of our WA nations within the region only adds to the strength and internal cohesion of Forest. But seriously, no pressure:

Awhaiti Kaiatu
Bargage
Borgoui
East Sand Gulf
Esterild
Fartsniffage
Jamilkhuze
The Groningen
Uiiop

And if YOU (other, non-WA nations) would like to get more involved in the life and community of the region, consider joining the WA and endorsing your fellow citizens (and me, lol). Who doesn't want to be part of the international conglomerate? (haha)

And above all, thank you again to everyone who has seen fit to endorse me. Please let me know, either by telegram or publicly on the RMB, how I can be a better delegate, and whether you would ever like me to vote for a proposal, or how to vote on a resolution that comes up for vote. I am always very grateful for input, and since I tend to not have strong feelings about things one way or the other, I am highly responsive to even a single request, in many instances.

----------

Also: I'd like to recognize Terrabod for their huge amount of work on our fantastic Flag Contest. There has been a tremendous amount of planning and collaboration behind the scenes, and it is obvious to me that Chan Island has made excellent appointments for the Tenth Cabinet of Forest. Also, I'd like to point out that Verdant Haven has put more into the current embassy request at vote than I ever managed to as the no-longer-Eternal Foreign Minister. And of course, Kawastyselir continues to furnish us with the best of statistical information. Expect great things from Middle Barael in the future, as well. We are in very good hands, all around!

I hope that everyone has a good, relaxing weekend! :-)
-Ru

(Also also: welcome back to Cameroi! You were missed!)

Thank you very much for volunteering, Lura! Should the question at vote pass and the embassy be created, I will be in touch to get you set up.

The Helvetic Republic of Difinbelk

There's a moderate minority opposing embassies with Thaecia; we've heard a bunch of arguments for it, but not many against, so would y'all be willing to explain why?

I've never tried the "two truths, one lie" challenge here so I'm now creating one right now:

Please find which one of the following is a lie about myself:
1. I'm a fan of Armenian Pop
2. I won two different poem contests on two different schools
3. I'm vegan

The Most Serene Republic of The Most Serene Republicans

Dan Olson's new video on the Nostalgia Critic "review" of the wall came out some 4 days ago, and it is a pretty good video imo, but more importantly it lead me to rewatch The Wall for the first time since I first saw it. I cannot emphasize enough how powerful The Trial, In The Flesh and especially Goodbye Blue Sky are. Goodbye Blue Sky is one of the very few things that makes me tear up. The way the visuals are just miserable and how it sounds like the mellow acoustic guitar riff keeps getting interrupted by the deep evil synths while on the screen you see the literal blue sky being invaded by war and death... The Wall hasn't aged entirely that well, but that segment is basically too powerful to get old.

And by the time that movie was released my mother was still a young child, so I'm very far from the generation this story came from, and in a completely different country that has never been bombed at all. I can't even imagine what it must have been like to watch the scene right before Another Brick in the Wall pt.2 with all the children crammed up in a train when you were actually taken in a crowded train to the countryside the avoid the bombs being thrown all over your neighborhood, and having studied in a school system where abuse wasn't isolated but systematic.

So I'm just gonna throw this here as a topic for discussion

The first one would make a lot of sense if you were armenian, but since I don't know that information I'm gonna go with 3 is a lie.
