Clearly... we have no reason to be allies particularly, I am fairly sure our relations in the past have been pretty strained, and we have no particular enemy to band against, so I’m not sure where this has come from.

We approve of this idea, because that definitely is a problem.
Gee, I wonder if that could be a byproduct of a culture that intentionally caused pain and suffering so that only the strong would survive and sent men out to die on meat grinder battlefields, where helping wounded would be seen as both cowardly and impossible.

Choose whatever name you want. United Federation sounds like repetitive but could mean different things depending on your history or constitutional structure. Worked for Star Trek...
