I was thinking of simple locking mechanisms and lock picks that they could manipulate.

Also "fish puzzles," in which the fish is trapped behind a door or locking mechanism that requires critical thought to open. And then success: you get a fish, and you get a fish, and you get a fish!

Or something to that effect...

After double-checking the Constitution of Raccoon Creek, statues, and bylaws, our legislative committees and the Prime Minister's Office are wondering the qualifications as well.

Another magnificent work by The Riparian Procyonid Republic of Raccoon Creek, this one incorporates elements of several of my older flags, all while being faithful to the overall theme. Can you spot the sneaky sun? Still there.

New elements include the fleur-de-lis, along with the evergreen tree and the wreath of stylized chestnut leaves and burrs.

The people of Ruinenlust are absolutely thrilled, and have sent many gifts of fish and other raccoon implements!

That chestnut wreath is awesome. Raccoon Creek, was that a Wikimedia asset, or where did you find it?

I read somewhere that people still use cigarettes as currency in prisons and concentration camps. I remember thinking at the time that it’s a good thing no one actually smokes anymore because that could be kinda painful trying to resist lighting up your money.

Thanks! All I did was a find suitable image of the outline of a chestnut leaf and trace bitmap within Inkscape.

I would, but I don't know if I have all of the historical versions. Also I don't know if I could figure out how to make them actually go onto a dispatch or something. Never underestimate my computer ignorance.

There are some fun statistics in there as well. Statistics is the only flavor of mathematics that I both have a natural talent for and enjoy. I would like to see similar coverage of comparative written linguistic effiency but I have not been able to find anything.

Yes, this is one of the first things I learned in my Intro to Linguistics course (possibly because it was relevantly in the news)!
