On the night of April 10-11, a private cargo plane was spotted in the air over Caltera. Residents fled in panic to the X-1 shelter, but to everyone's surprise, a cloud of banknotes with an unusual greenish glow descended on the city. People began to frantically grab banknotes. Half an hour later, military vehicles appeared on the streets. As a matter of urgency, everyone was evacuated to local hospitals. As reported later, it was a terrorist act of the Socialists. The money was processed with a thin layer of uranium from a recently opened mine.
The plane was shot down by an air defense system. All representatives of the Party of Socialists on board were killed. Thanks to the latest medication and the rapid work of the army, civilian casualties were avoided. 10 people are in serious condition, 583 people have been exposed to radiation sickness.

(TNS - Saratoga) - In what appears to be a coordinated terrorist attack against Tetchuan, several bombs exploded in the nation’s capital and second largest city, Saratoga and Napier respectively, targeting major financial and public landmarks.

Shortly after 11 am local time, the first in a series of explosions across the two major cities occurred at the Sophia Building in Napier, the nations tallest building and a major trade and financial center, killing at least 1,452 people. The culturally and financially significant tower suffered severe structural damage as a result of the blast, causing the first seventeen floors of the front façade of the building to eventually collapse, leading to hundreds more casualties and billions of Selcs in wreckage.

The second explosion occurred thirteen minutes later in Saratoga, the nations capital, just outside the Savoye, a cultural center where Tetchuanians gather for various public events and celebrations. The explosion resulted in the death of at least 440 civilians and injured hundreds more, many of whom were children celebrating a Tetchuan tradition of young-adulthood.

The third and final explosion, the most devastating as of this writing occurred within two minutes of the Savoye attack, at The Gateway Centre, the country's immigration headquarters, killing at least 3,170 civilians, most of whom were immigrants and foreign travelers. The explosion, which appears to have originated from the basement level parking facility, caused the complete collapse of the 20 story building within minutes of the detonation, resulting in the death of the vast majority of those inside the structure.

The explosions caused mass evacuations at the Executive Residency, The Beehive (Parliament building), and dozens of other government and major structures throughout the country. Most major ports, bridges, tunnels and airports were shut down in the hours immediately following the attacks as fear of additional strikes mounted. The TIS (Tetchuan Intelligence Service) believes the explosions were coordinated by the same group, and says the investigation into the culprits are underway.

It is the largest terrorist attack against Tetchuan in history and the first since 1972 when separatists killed 816 people in the hijacking of a speedrail line that caused the high speed derailment of the train in the densely populated region of Henderson. Thousands of emergency personnel have poured into the disaster areas to tend to the wounded, missing and deceased.

Prime Minister Nico Harbough was rushed to an undisclosed secure location, where he addressed the nation roughly an hour after the attacks. Holding back tears, he vowed that those responsible would be held accountable “without sympathy”. It is an exceptionally tragic event in the wake of a highly successful re-election campaign which saw Harbough tally a record number of votes. Mr. Harbough will now be tasked with beginning his second term as Prime Minister by dealing with the nations most blatant and deadly attack in history.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed to TNS that it has already been in contact with regional allies and is working diligently with domestic and foreign intelligence agencies to uncover how this attack occurred and who is responsible. It also confirmed to TNS that embassies will remain closed tomorrow as a precaution and foreign delegates are currently being held in a secure location as a precaution.
