Tetchuan under attack, a news bulletin:

(TNS - Saratoga) - In what appears to be a coordinated terrorist attack against Tetchuan, several bombs exploded in the nation’s capital and second largest city, Saratoga and Napier respectively, targeting major financial and public landmarks.

Shortly after 11 am local time, the first in a series of explosions across the two major cities occurred at the Sophia Building in Napier, the nations tallest building and a major trade and financial center, killing at least 1,452 people. The culturally and financially significant tower suffered severe structural damage as a result of the blast, causing the first seventeen floors of the front façade of the building to eventually collapse, leading to hundreds more casualties and billions of Selcs in wreckage.

The second explosion occurred thirteen minutes later in Saratoga, the nations capital, just outside the Savoye, a cultural center where Tetchuanians gather for various public events and celebrations. The explosion resulted in the death of at least 440 civilians and injured hundreds more, many of whom were children celebrating a Tetchuan tradition of young-adulthood.

The third and final explosion, the most devastating as of this writing occurred within two minutes of the Savoye attack, at The Gateway Centre, the country's immigration headquarters, killing at least 3,170 civilians, most of whom were immigrants and foreign travelers. The explosion, which appears to have originated from the basement level parking facility, caused the complete collapse of the 20 story building within minutes of the detonation, resulting in the death of the vast majority of those inside the structure.

The explosions caused mass evacuations at the Executive Residency, The Beehive (Parliament building), and dozens of other government and major structures throughout the country. Most major ports, bridges, tunnels and airports were shut down in the hours immediately following the attacks as fear of additional strikes mounted. The TIS (Tetchuan Intelligence Service) believes the explosions were coordinated by the same group, and says the investigation into the culprits are underway.

It is the largest terrorist attack against Tetchuan in history and the first since 1972 when separatists killed 816 people in the hijacking of a speedrail line that caused the high speed derailment of the train in the densely populated region of Henderson. Thousands of emergency personnel have poured into the disaster areas to tend to the wounded, missing and deceased.

Prime Minister Nico Harbough was rushed to an undisclosed secure location, where he addressed the nation roughly an hour after the attacks. Holding back tears, he vowed that those responsible would be held accountable “without sympathy”. It is an exceptionally tragic event in the wake of a highly successful re-election campaign which saw Harbough tally a record number of votes. Mr. Harbough will now be tasked with beginning his second term as Prime Minister by dealing with the nations most blatant and deadly attack in history.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed to TNS that it has already been in contact with regional allies and is working diligently with domestic and foreign intelligence agencies to uncover how this attack occurred and who is responsible. It also confirmed to TNS that embassies will remain closed tomorrow as a precaution and foreign delegates are currently being held in a secure location as a precaution.

Our Defense Minister is ready to send to you special purpose fighters "Mongoose", designed to fight terrorists. And we have a question, do you have a database of recordings of all surveillance cameras and user actions on the Internet? Yes, this is essentially a surveillance technology for everyone who is on the street, indoors and using their phones and computers, but in good hands they are aimed only at combating terrorism.
If you have the necessary databases, we advise you to start operation "God's Eye" and start searching for digital traces of terrorists.

I'm not sure if this is much help but I'll send you aid in helping to rebuild these buildings, and I'll also use my small but decently efficient SSA (Stefolandese Spy Agency) to expose who caused the attacks. Also, don't you think terrorist attacks have been common in Europeia recently? Like how the Solaris stock exchange was bombed during the CEOG war? Prov said the Solaris stock exchange bombing was by terrorists supposedly funded by the CEOG, but I doubt this one had to do with them.

Europeian WA Headquarters wrote:Greetings everyone!

There is a new resolution at vote in the General Assembly:

Resolution at Vote: Repeal: "LGBTIQA Inclusiveness In Schools Act"
Vote Recommendation: Against
Forum voting thread: https://forums.europeians.com/index.php?threads/ga-repeal-%E2%80%9Cworld-assembly-border-policy%E2%80%9D.10059414/

You can look at the forum thread for more information about the resolution.

If you are a citizen, make sure to also vote in the forum thread. The forum tally determines the delegate's vote, so this is your chance to determine how Europeia's votes are used!

Information for World Assembly Voters
Please find below another volume of the Information For World Assembly Voters program.

Our Vote recommendation: AGAINST

Resolution Overview:
GA 564 "World Assembly Border Policy" established an optional free movement zone for WA member nations. This proposal seeks to repeal that resolution due to numerous issues, including vague wording and sloppy provisions rendering the free movement zone actively harmful to participating nations and the resolution creating an unnecessary administrative burden even for non-participating nations.

Ministry Analysis:
While we agree that GAR#564 is a flawed resolution, and would be glad to support a different repeal, a number of unsatisfactory arguments this proposal makes preclude our support. In particular, we take issue with Clause 3(b), which alleges that reference to non-consenting states "is not at all clear in terms of what it means", and Clause 4, which lambasts the original resolution for "requiring" a course of action that only applies to states which consent to its regulations. Simply put, this repeal makes way too many arguments, looking to get votes by quantity instead of quality, and would be drastically better if it focused solely on its strongest points.

This IFV Recommendation was written in collaboration with our World Assembly Legislative League partners.

All of us in the Ministry of World Assembly are proud of the work we accomplish in the Ministry. If you are interested in joining the effort, if you are interested in getting more involved in the World Assembly, possibly as an author or one of our staff putting together information for voters like yourself, then join the Ministry! We want both people who are eager to learn and people who already know their way around the World Assembly and can help us do our job even better. Joining the Ministry of World Assembly is a great way to get more involved in Europeia.

If you're interested in getting involved, please contact the Minister of World Assembly Affairs, either by personal message on the forums (username: Gem) or by telegram (nation: Gemeinschaftsland).

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

The Delegate casts the regional vote after consulting the results of the forum voting thread linked above. All citizens in Europeia can vote and discuss there, so make sure to do so!

As usual, please consider endorsing Delegate Primorye Oblast, if you have not already done so. The more endorsements, the more votes Europeia has, and the stronger our voice in the World Assembly is!

If you are no longer interested in receiving these telegrams, please edit your Telegram Preferences, and adjust the frequency with which you receive 'WA Campaign' telegrams accordingly.

If you have questions about any of the above, please contact Minister of World Assembly Affairs Gemeinschaftsland.

First, according to how it appears on the RMB, I think the wrong title was used for the dispatch.
Second, I have an issue with the argument the dispatch itself is making. "In particular, we take issue with Clause 3(b), which alleges that reference to non-consenting states "is not at all clear in terms of what it means..."". What's the issue? The resolution seems to explain well what is meant by Clause 3(b) but this dispatch does not do the same. The same goes for the section on Clause 4. What's wrong with the lambasting?
The last clause also seems kinda flawed to me. A resolution isn't necessarily bad because it has too many arguments. It's only bad if the arguments presented are weak or invalid which the dispatch fails to show that they are.
Ironically, it feels like the dispatch itself makes no actual argument apart from vague statements and instead of legitimate criticism of the arguments the resolution makes, focuses on critiquing how lengthy they are.

I should point out that I'm not invested in the resolution or anything. It could go either way (obviously it won't) and I wouldn't be bothered in the slightest. I was just wondering why Primorye Oblast voted Against while the resolution is getting near unanimous support.
