The Chaotic Nightmare Nation of Zandos is a huge, cultured nation, ruled by Eggward The Third with a fair hand, and notable for its ubiquitous missile silos, complete lack of prisons, and absence of drug laws. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 857 million Zandosians hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The relatively small, corrupt, liberal, outspoken government prioritizes Industry, with Defense, Education, and Healthcare also on the agenda, while Spirituality and International Aid receive no funds. Crime, especially youth-related, is pervasive, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Zandos's national animal is the D U C C, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.
