The Fascistic State of Trenmart is a massive, orderly nation, ruled by Nader Shah with an iron fist, and renowned for its public floggings, ban on automobiles, and keen interest in outer space. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 1.789 billion Trenmartians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The large, corrupt, moralistic government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Velmirad. The average income tax rate is 69.1%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Trenmartian economy, worth 245 trillion Rials a year, is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Uranium Mining, and Basket Weaving. Black market activity is rampant. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 137,003 Rials, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.0 times as much as the poorest.

Out-of-work basketball players loom over the unemployment line, the road to salvation runs ramrod straight, wealthy Trenmartians never seem to hear the doorbell, and the government seizes all major gold finds. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Trenmart's national animal is the Persian Lion, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its national religion is Shia Islam.
