The industrial sector, which is fairly diversified, is led by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Tourism, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Book Publishing. Average income is an impressive 134,933 Iras, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Making up random numbers to name new asteroids is the bulk of astronomers' work, entomologists flock to Violet for its remarkable gadfly population, military equipment is being auctioned off to extend comatose centenarians' lives, and kindergartners' favourite dance move is the stop-drop-and-roll. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Violet Star's national animal is the Phoenix, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Polarinism.
