The Confederacy of Tenochca is a gargantuan, orderly nation, ruled by Leader with an iron fist, and notable for its rum-swilling pirates, sprawling nuclear power plants, and infamous sell-swords. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 46.007 billion Tenochcans are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The minute, corrupt, well-organized government, or what there is of one, is solely concerned with Education. Income tax is unheard of.

The large but stagnant Tenochcan economy, worth 407 trillion Quetzals a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, highly specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Gambling, Book Publishing, and Uranium Mining. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 8,847 Quetzals, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.8 times as much as the poorest.

Young and brooding teens are welcomed with open arms to the Dogwarts School of Strangeness and Sorcery, the fattest folk in Tenochca look to be the happiest ones, nude art is becoming wildly popular, and the government has pinkie-promised never to use its veto power except in an emergency. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Tenochca's national animal is the couatl, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is a major religion.
