The hard-nosed, cynical population of 4.059 billion Strokesians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The enormous, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Industry. The average income tax rate is 69.7%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The very strong Strokesian economy, worth 224 trillion bitcoins a year, is quite specialized and dominated by the Woodchip Exports industry, with significant contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Trout Farming. Black market activity is extensive. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 55,205 bitcoins, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Baby dolls thrown in the trash are a leading cause of panic attacks, the government is spending billions of taxpayer bitcoins to support "struggling" industries, people who tease dwarfs are being cut down to size, and government projects are full of waste. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Strokes's national animal is the penguin, which is also the nation's favorite main course.
