The People's Republic of Oofery 2 is a massive, cultured nation, renowned for its soft-spoken computers, parental licensing program, and frequent executions. The hard-nosed population of 2.505 billion Oofery 2ians are prohibited from doing almost everything except voting, which they do timidly and conservatively.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Law & Order, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 17.0%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The strong Oofery 2ian economy, worth 177 trillion banks a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, fairly diversified black market in Tourism, Beef-Based Agriculture, Automobile Manufacturing, and Trout Farming. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 70,769 banks, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Belligerent citizens shoot at passing clouds for 'violating their airspace', vets have been drafted in to help "fix" those who fail the parental license exam, the government is denying reports that criminals injected with experimental drugs have turned into monstrous supervillains, and the military is researching proton packs and PK-meters to combat "unseen enemy forces". Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Oofery 2's national animal is the card, which is also the nation's favorite main course.
