The White Line Fever of I 75 is a gargantuan, orderly nation, ruled by Eisenhower with an iron fist, and renowned for its teetotalling pirates, prohibition of alcohol, and state-planned economy. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 11.185 billion Highwaymen are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Administration, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Atlanta. The average income tax rate is 68.3%.

The frighteningly efficient Roadworthy economy, worth a remarkable 1,392 trillion tolls a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, broadly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, Uranium Mining, and Retail. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 124,499 tolls, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.3 times as much as the poorest.

Small shoes often wash up on the beach, adults have never outgrown their fear of monsters, commuters travel in zigzags to avoid stalking accusations, and Brancalandian Brie isn't available anywhere in I 75. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. I 75's national animal is the Pinzgauer, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Constructionist.
