The large, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized government is primarily concerned with Defense, although Law & Order, Education, and Administration are also considered important, while Welfare and International Aid aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Rance Castle. The average income tax rate is 98.0%.

The frighteningly efficient Greater Continentian economy, worth a remarkable 4,935 trillion GOLDS a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, quite specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, Information Technology, and Furniture Restoration. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Greater Continent's national animal is the Omnipotent White Whale, which frolics freely in the nation's sparkling oceans, and its national religion is The Hanny Cult.
