The Socialist Commonwealth of Alogiada is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Dænæil Kæsíìuđæ with a fair hand, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls, daily referendums, and state-planned economy. The compassionate, democratic population of 1.549 billion Alogiadani are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The enormous, socially-minded, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Education, Administration, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ækaíìsi. The average income tax rate is 92.4%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Alogi economy, worth 202 trillion Zais a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is led by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Tourism, Book Publishing, and Basket Weaving. Average income is an impressive 130,616 Zais, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The nation's diplomats shake hands with those whose hands are drenched in the blood of innocents, there's a shortage of swinging hot spots as land development grinds to a halt, 'The Anti-Government Hour' is a popular programme on many of Alogiada's radio stations, and the government is constantly producing new maps to accommodate the continual renaming of cities. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Alogiada's national animal is the Alogiadan Buffalo, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Austronesian Christianity.
