The United Socialist States of Bytico is a massive, efficient nation, notable for its burgeoning giraffe population. The hard-working, democratic population of 4.662 billion Byticoans are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The tiny, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Defense, and Healthcare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 7.7%.

The thriving Byticoan economy, worth 284 trillion deniers a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Gambling industry, with significant contributions from Tourism, Soda Sales, and Basket Weaving. Organ donation is compulsory, it is illegal to make racist remarks in public, all major public areas are watched by police surveillance cameras, and pet loving officers arrest citizens who don't give their dogs enough biscuits. Crime is a problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Bytico's national animal is the giraffe, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.
