The Most Serene Republic of Atisia is a huge, efficient nation, notable for its complete lack of prisons, public floggings, and ubiquitous missile silos. The compassionate, cynical, devout population of 896 million Atisians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The enormous, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Education, Industry, and Administration. The average income tax rate is 78.8%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The thriving Atisian economy, worth 70.2 trillion Atisoes a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is mostly made up of the Trout Farming industry, with significant contributions from Book Publishing and Beef-Based Agriculture. Average income is 78,323 Atisoes, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Explicit slash fiction is repackaged for kindergarten kids as stories about friends cuddling friends, the military recognizes no difference between male and female soldiers, the national guard is mobilized whenever a mother gets separated from her child at the mall, and the Federal Council of Atisia has been announced as the new Head of State. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Atisia's national animal is the Lion, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Atisia is ranked 279,004th in the world and 988th in The Frontier Sea for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -8.98 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
