The Royal Kingdom of Xiang Dynasty is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by 「Empress Kazue-No-Mikito」 with an iron fist, and notable for its triple-decker prams, pith helmet sales, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed, cynical, devout population of 4.502 billion Shaxí are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The large, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of 「Najjíng」. The average income tax rate is 88.4%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Xíng economy, worth 568 trillion 「Silver Qín」s a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing and Woodchip Exports. Average income is an impressive 126,338 「Silver Qín」s, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Children asking questions about science are referred to relevant sections in religious texts, many friends and relatives of 「Empress Kazue-No-Mikito」 have been given ambassador jobs in tropical island nations, 「Empress Kazue-No-Mikito」 can't hear a thing when the unwashed masses throw rocks at the new state limousine, and the navy is chrome-plating its battleships to prevent rust. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Xiang Dynasty's national animal is the 「Ancient Dragon」, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution, and its national religion is 「Qin」.
