To be fair, they were in pretty bad chaos too because of the civil war. The Confeds were just much worse off because of foreign intervention. If nobody intervened, the Confederates would've put up a pretty good fight.

The Bulgarian forces continue to fight to the very end and make very slow progress against the Serbians. But despite this, the Serbian forces have taken huge amounts of casualties while the Greeks are stating to lose large amounts as well. The Line against the Greeks manages to stand firm while more Bulgarian troops come to the front lines. Re enforcement's and extra defenses are brought to the line against the Serbians to prevent a counterattack or an encirclement.

Serbians and Greeks in their hard to breach defensive also take their toll on the Bulgarians as thousands of men are required to take a fort in weeks of siege and battles.
