Since the two-day period of public deliberation, during which no objections were raised, has ended, the embassy with The Potato Alliance will be closed. I'm sure that the memories that we have made with The Potato Alliance will be cherished for a long time to come, from being dead last with 1/3 of the nations in our faction being obliterated to being the contenders for the top spot. However, now that N-Day is over and done with, it is time to say our goodbyes.

The 30 Years of Jurassic Park of Sauros

I thought Iceologer would win mob vote, cause we knew mountain update was coming, but now that we know we are getting underground oceans/lakes, Glow Squid may fit in after all.
I also hope after this, with the archeology stuff, we get some paleontology too. Who knows, maybe they'll add dinosaurs eventually!

I'm surprised that such a resolution hasn't already passed through the WA, given some of the far more specific nonsense that has been adopted. In any case, this seems sensible.

Cedoria wrote:Ah well,

Comrades! Following on from the post I made last night, I'd like to unveil my plans for a new regional activity. Like many of you no doubt, I had lots of time to think over months of lockdown and even got quite bored a few times (a rarity for me). As a consequence I came up with an idea for those of us who play 4X games, such as EUIV and other similar titles. I thought it might be a fun idea if TLA were to arrange a fun regional multi-player match with one of those titles, and basically do a once a week or fortnight session of multiplayer gameplay until the game is complete. If you're bad at/have never done multiplayer before, don't worry because A) Being terrible is part of the fun and B) I am too and C) I intend it too be far more of just a bunch of friends having fun than a deathly seriouss competitive thing with prizes and rankings and the like.

While I'm leaning towards EUIV being the game we play just on account of it's popularity (and the fact that I already own it, muhahaha), I'm flexible on discussions about whether we play other games in future like this, depending on how this goes. Basically though I'm thinking we'll play a Paradox title, what I'm looking for now is expressions of interest. If this IS something that interests you, I'd like you to let me know either via Telegram, Discord PM or here on the RMB in a quote. I'll be keeping a list of people who are interested in playing and if we get enough people, (I'm thinking minimum of ten or so), then I'll set up a Discord room to iron out ground rules and figure out who wants to play what or who and work out dates and times that try to accommodate people etc. Basically, I want expressions of interest for now, then we'll go into depth and see how many people we can make this potentially work for in this region.

I am very excited to present this idea friends, so I do hope a whole bunch of you will be curious enough to indulge me. I think this will be a great way of getting people together in yet another awesome way that will further strengthen TLA's community. As the old saying goes, you don't really know a person till you've fought them in a multi-player war (OK, I made that up).

Let me know how many people are interested.

Much Love,

Ced.

I'm more of a CK2/CK3 guy, but I'd totally be down for this!

New samon

I‘m broke and only have CK2 and HOI4 but I‘m down

New samon

Comrades, New Samon would like to announce the 2020 TLA Olympics!

In honor of the 2016 Olympics, and the near coincidence, I would like to host the next Olympics. The events are to be planned to be the same as the past, which are as follows, athletics, basketball, boxing, chess, fencing, field hockey, football, rugby, and tennis.

I also invite any willing comrade to assist me as an organizer, preferably with some experience in sports roleplay. The deadline to register will be this coming Thursday, October 8th. Please telegram me or message me on Discord (Daku#9008) if you will be interested. An organizer will be picked on October 7th, and a Discord will be posted as soon as possible.

Here‘s the 2016 wiki page, if you‘d like to take a look at it: https://tl.awiki.org/wiki/2016_Olympic_Games

The People's Republic of Cedoria

I'm happy to go with CK2 or whatever else people prefer if we want other choices. I'd rather it be a game I actually have but we can probably do a poll on it in the Discord if people are interested in HOI4 or one of the others as well.
And of course, if we don't play one that you currently have or want to play this time, there's always next time. If this is a success I see no reason for us not to do it again in future with other titles:_

That said, I'll need a few more expressions of interest to make it worthwhile, so if you might be interested, please do say. You're not committed to anything if it turns out later that you can't or whatever, so don't stress:_ I'm just gauging interest.
