To the People of Gjorka, Today marks a momentous occasion in the history of our shared nation and in the history of the world. For too long, Gjorka has stood as an isolated pillar in the international community. Unmoving, unwavering and unimportant to the affairs of the world. We have watched the world around us commit deplorable acts with no say. Watched nations be torn apart and destroyed with but a whisper from our government. Saw the evils of man unleashed but delivered no recompense. This state of affairs cannot continue. That is why I, in coordination with the Department of Global Relations, delivered a proposal to the Committee of Global Relations. This proposal was to host a meeting between the Governments of Ostlandet in Gjorka to further our cooperation and to promote peace on the continent. This is holistically necessary for the betterment of Gjorkans, and for the betterment of our shared continent. We cannot allow ourselves to be dragged down in petty squabbles that set our countries back decades. We must give ourselves the opportunity to end these conflicts before they begin. Peace brings prosperity, but peace is not gifted out. Peace must be earned. Our opportunity to earn this peace has arrived. I am happy to announce the Committee shared my same sentiment and the sentiment all Gjorkans should share. Thus, It is is my great honor to announce the 2022 Gjorka City Summit. Gjorka is inviting the nations of Ostlandet to meet to further our intergovernmental dialogue and promote unity within the continent. Despite our immense differences, we must assemble at this summit for the future of our continent. For centuries our people have fought and bled over disputes between our nations. Just this past year, Ajakanistan and Paleocacher engaged in warfare over fishermen. This is a historic opportunity for our nations to come together and promote dialogue in a way that has never been achieved before in the history of the world. At no time in Antiquity has Cooperation and unity on a continental scale been realized. However, the future doesn’t belong to the faint-hearted but to the brave. We must try, for if we do not we are doomed to further the deaths of thousands. Despite the monumental challenge ahead of us we must remember one thing: Together, we cannot fail. Thank you.

 The Kingdom of Salisford | CRI Announces New Initiative to Offset Loss of Oil Rigs Following a string of emergency board meetings held over the past month, CRI has published a memo which was sent to its stockholders which elaborated on the company's response to the Andaluzian nationalization of CRI oil rigs. In the memo, the company first thanked both newfound and remaining investors for their confidence through this tumultuous episode, and promised that, although negotiations with the Andaluzian government has slowed, the company remains committed to reobtaining its — and, by extension, its investors — lost property. The company then continued on to thank both the Salisfordian government and the other CODECO member states for their support in this matter, and that they hope its resolution will come swiftly and without delay. Following this, the company went on to address concerns that the recent oil spill in the Andaluzian Sea, reassuring investors that the accident was a extraordinary event, caused by improper operation of the Furtado Prospect oil rig by inexperienced Petróleo Nacional workers, and is not in any way indicative of the quality of other CRI drilling sites. However, despite this fact, the company claims it has begun a review of their own safety protocols to ensure this can not, and will not, happen, at any CRI oil platforms in the future. The company, despite hoping for the return of the oil rigs, went on to announce an initiative which they hope will offset the lost profits caused by the nationalization. Funded by a low-interest loan generously provided by the Salisfordian government, the initiative will consist of a multi-faceted plan to expand and improve on their currently existing operations in other markets, including an expansion of their currently operating drilling and refining sites, an increase of prospecting within the Alzanub Sea and Almanople Ocean, an establishment of a new Sequoyan branch of the company, and, lastly, an investment into their distribution and retail networks. Altogether, the company expects that this initiative will allow them to both provide better service to their current customers, and help stabilize the supply and price of petroleum in the Surian and southern Ecrosian markets. | The Holy Traditionalist Empire of Creeperopolis | 18 June 2022 At 9:38 a.m. SST, the 19th annual 18 June Liberation Parade began to commemorate the 19-year anniversary of the 2003 Creeperian coup d'état which deposed Emperor Alfonso VI and his government (the Alfonsisto) and led to the ascension of Alexander II to the imperial throne of Creeperopolis. The parade was occurring as a part of the opening ceremony of the 2022 Copa Sur Centennial which will begin tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. SST with the opening match between Creeperopolis and El Salvador at the Emperor Adolfo III Stadium in San Salvador. As a result of the parade’s marketing as a part of the tournament’s opening ceremony, a higher than usual crowd of 215,000 people were present at the San Salvador Imperial Palace to watch the proceedings of the parade.
