The Borderlands of AngelStitch is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Violet with an iron fist, and remarkable for its state-planned economy, enslaved workforce, and parental licensing program. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 3.529 billion AngelStitchians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government prioritizes Defense, although Law & Order, Administration, and Healthcare are also considered important, while International Aid is ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Odonhull. The average income tax rate is 59.9%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient AngelStitchian economy, worth 387 trillion Euros a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. AngelStitch's national animal is the Eagle, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its national religion is Empress of Mankind.
