"Dear comrades!

On behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and the Government of the USSR, I congratulate you on the Day of International Solidarity of Workers!

May Day is one of the most important and beloved holidays of the Soviet peoples, and of all the working people of the world. Those who are used to living according to conscience and working honestly. Those who have always stood for equality, brotherhood and friendship of peoples. It was these high ideals that became the key to the victory of the 1917 Great October Socialist Revolution. The world's first state of workers and peasants, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, was founded on these immortal ideals.

In the Land of the Soviets, the holiday symbolizes glorious victories in work and spiritual life. Lenin's NEP marked the beginning of a powerful economic recovery. It was followed by successes in overcoming illiteracy, renovating the countryside, and creating industrial power. The future victory in the Great Patriotic War was forged in the forges of the first five-year plans. In the fateful years of the battle with Nazism, international solidarity of workers helped the USSR to survive and win. To the delight of all people of good will, our Motherland has reached unprecedented heights in the economy and social protection, science and education, healthcare and culture.

Since the middle of the 19th century, working people took part in May Day marches, defending their rights. And, above all, the right to a decent life and an eight-hour working day. The bourgeoisie fired back. When a powerful demonstration took place in the city of Chicago in the United States, six people were shot and eight were arrested, accused of terrorism and sentenced to hang. Three were forgiven, replacing their death penalty with fifteen years of hard labor. But the rest were shot. This is how the bourgeois government responded to the desire of the working people to protect their rights.

Just three years later, the Second International in Paris at its congress made a special decision to celebrate May 1 as the International Day of Solidarity of Workers of the World. And the workers rose to their defense. But ahead of everyone were the workers, peasants and soldiers of our great power, who, under the leadership of Conrade Lenin, ensured the victory of the Great October Revolution.

For the first time in the history of mankind, the solidarity of working people ensured the establishment of Soviet power. It was solidarity that allowed us to put out the fire of the Civil War and carry out the most unique Lenin-Stalin modernization in history, which raised the burnt Russian Empire from the ashes to the heights of victory over fascism and space.

The working class of Russia, led by the Bolshevik Party and V.I. Lenin brought to the fore not economic, but political demands. As a result, the Russian proletariat carried out a victorious socialist revolution and established their dictatorship in our country, which in a short time realized all the social gains for which the working people of the world had fought in the previous decades. The Russian proletariat has lit a beacon for the working people of the whole world.

It was their collective solidarity that allowed us to build, at that time, nine thousand of the best factories before the Great Patriotic War and defeat the fascist hordes. It was solidarity that created the best social protection system, guaranteed free education and medical care. It was the solidarity of the working people that made it possible after the war to restore the destroyed economy and set an example of how to work hard, moving forward at an unprecedented pace.

Comrades, we know that we must do everything to maintain solidarity of the working people's forces. And for this, the Communist Party has launched a massive recruitment into its ranks, as well as into the ranks of the Komsomol, and the Young Pioneers. Only the Communist Party of the Soviet Union has been protecting, and continues to protect the working people all these years, and we will continue to be their vanguard until the final victory of a Communist society is realized!

We are convinced: the interests of the working class have never coincided, and will not coincide with the interests of the exploiters who created their fortunes on human grief, theft and corruption. The Communist Party of the Soviet Union remains a truly people's party today. In the conditions of the hybrid war of destruction declared on us by the West, we call on representatives of the labour movement to unite. The call of the times is for a “left turn”. And this class struggle will be successful only with the solidarity of all the workers of the world, with strong unity of the workers, represented by our Communist Party here in the USSR, and by all Marxist-Leninist parties of the world!

In our formidable and fateful times, only the unity of society on the ideals of social justice, democracy and socialism will ensure the victory of our Motherland over fascism and predatory global capital, mass poverty and international terrorism. The solidarity of the working people is capable of putting an end to the globalist yoke that is tormenting our Motherland, and is more than capable to maintain and expand the great gains of the Great October Socialist Revolution!

Long live the international solidarity of workers!

Long live the immortal ideals of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Mao, and Stalin!

Long live Peace, Justice, and Socialism!
