No, not really. It seems a ton of Eastern European nations claim to have the center of Europe (and Germany for some reason), but by my own neutral American estimate, the center of Europe is actually in the middle of the Baltic Sea between Finland, Estonia, and Sweden.

i agree but i think its absurd to say that Poland is in Eastern Europe, in eastern central europe yes, but not eastern, theres still belarus ukraine russia and the Baltics for that.

I think it's ridiculous to claim Poland is part of Central Europe, especially when 99% of it's history is with the east.

The only validity Poland has to the claim of being in Central Europe is the German regions of Silesia, Pomerania, and the New March (formerly part of Brandenburg). Otherwise it's entirely in Eastern Europe, given it's culture and history, as well as just the geography itself.

I long for the day we can stop relying on the US and let some homegrown tech businesses rise

The only reason Poland is where it's located now is because the USSR decided Poland had to be round and go west
