Jehovik Defence Forces report two destroyed aircraft
Two Jehovik "Bh.21k" strike fighters were shot down over Fort Tamark'o earlier this week.
The fighters, of which were sent by Jehovikra in order to continue to wear down Tamark'o's resilience and supplies, were intercepted by Encessian fighters shortly after dropping their payloads on Tamark'o. The Encessian fighters, of which were far more maneuvrable as well as more technologically advanced, chased the Jehovik forces back towards the border, before firing air-to-air missiles of which impacted both aircraft. The pilots are confirmed as dead.
The Jehovik government has declared this as a "tragedy," and sued for a temporary ceasefire with Encessian diplomats. While the ceasefire is not currently in effect, Jehovik forces have continued to assault Tamark'o as well as the surrounding territories. Until Encessians agree to ceasefire, they say, Jehovik forces will seige Tamark'o.

In a most recent debate and discussion amongst the Imperial Advisory. The reclassification of Nicersdah from an Unorganized Territory to a Sovereign Nation was agreed upon. The newly reclassified Nicersdah is now seen as a legitimate country to the Hadian Imperial Juche Empire. This bold step was taken to allow possible future development between Nicersdah and the Hadian Imperial Government. This step was also a path forward in opening the Hadian Imperial Juche Empire up to other international relations and countries down the road, if desired. Hail Hadian, Hail God-Emperor Jon.

Neuewland reaffirms No-Transit Policy
In the wake of increased tensions in the Sivuk Gulf, and the revelation that both the Bakyernian and San Calian fleets were en route to Shadoveil, Neuew Naval Strategists had a near-stroke when realizing this would (most likely) see the attempted crossing off the Middenheim-Dawidsburg Gap by said fleets. As a result, the Neuew Fleet would like to remind the international stage that no pre-approved naval vessels shall be granted passage through the Middenheim-Dawidsburg Gap, and risk conflict with Neuewland if they were to attempt it. Until further notice, submarine and airborne patrols shall be stepped up in the Gap. However, Neuewland is also a merciful beast. A statement from Eben Drastenis said this: "While the Gap, currently, is closed to foreign military vessels, the ports of Inselstadt and Eastern Middenheim are not. If foreign navies wish to negotiate safe passage, their fleets may be permitted to dock in these ports indefinitely, until new orders to either transit the gap peacefully or to take a route around the continent are issued."

The face value are less than Hard Currency and Reichsmarks, making goods cost slightly more for foreigners. In a bold move the God-Emperor Jon has also opened the Volkshalle to tourist; however, this will require your guides and tourists to follow exact orders within Volkshalle. With the Plagyorasia and Shadoveil conflict escalating the Wellsenfaile head General Bariz Yartzik has decided to mobilize the 3rd Grand Army Regiment and also send the 5th Grand Navy Division to Shadoveil. Yartzik and Telsruk Haven both said that Plagyorasia was the main reason for the escalation. Haven also said that he wanted to improve relationships with Shadoveil. The Regiment and Division will leave today and will arrive at Shadoveil in a few days. Wellsenfaile will also send a number of armoured vehicles to Shadoveil and a few destroyers and submarines

The stratified, racialist system of the Victorian Junta, formed after the fall of the once-great United States of Victoria, stood not without its problems. From its inception, the policies of the Victorian Junta had been controversial, both among international human rights watchdogs and the minorities subjugated under the new theocratic dictatorship. While the Victorians had come very late to the abolishment of slavery, having come to the Victorian Civil War (known as the War of White Independence in Victoria) merely to abolish history's greatest horror.

Even after this, despite the steps by the now southern-dominated government, racism continued across the history of the United States of Victoria. The advance of human rights remained, and so the anger of a hundred privileged generations continued in hiding, percolating in silence, for as the bigoted and the lame had come up with their own euphemisms to disguise hatred, to, in the words of George Orwell, "make...murder respectable." For it was, after all, Friedrich Hegel, one of the greatest philosophers of the Western tradition, who had divided humanity up into two sections. The dialectic, as it was known, was born in that division.

The dialectic could represent a great number of things. Class, sexuality, gender, whatever. But in the history of the Victorian Junta it had come to mean race. For the "marginalised" white groups had grown an identity out of their oppression, to see the minorities not as human beings, but as an other. They were not like us, so their speeches go, and so they must be inferior. There was no such thing, in that nation, as a white identity. For it was not a celebration of whiteness, but a hatred of brownness, of blackness. Of Islam. Of Judaism. Of the Other. A hundred bits of fake science created to justify the hatred of millions, to say that this group was stupid, that group were evil, they were criminals, rapists, whatever you wanted to say.

But even as the march of progress continued on, without remark for these feelings, for this inner hatred, something had felt wrong. For 30 years before the Porterite Revolution, before the Fall of Democracy, as the opponents of the increasingly authoritarian regime called it, a loudmouth Northern Governor known as Henry Jacobs had got elected President. He denigrated the minorities of Victoria, who, despite their great numbers, were unable to stop them. He used a loophole in the Constitution to lock up entire stadiums worth of people for crimes they did not commit, corrupting the police forrce,, obstructing justice for his friends and creating the new consensus among the elites of Victoria and irreparably destroying democracy. His successors did little to stop this. Very little.

And then suddenly, a "left-wing iconoclast", known as Terry Thomas, as the Victorian government puts out nowadays, although most reasonable people would regard him as an empty-handed centrist. This was the day, the descendants of Northern slavery said. His terms passed with the legalisation of gay marriage, expansion of abortion rights, along with appointing many influential "liberal" academics to government positions, and effectively becoming a face of evil among the sectors of the nation that would later form the backbone for the Victorian Junta. Where he reviled by the Victorian right who proclaimed him as the coming of the Antichrist and being a secret Volgingradian along with declaring Porter (who had run against him, but was defeated by a finance magnate who modern Porterites declare to have been a weapon of "International Banking"), he was a hero among the liberals (although more astute leftists would criticise him for pushing policies, such as the refusal to regulate donations to political campaigns, continued expansion of the surveillance state and a U-turn on several economically left-wing practices, that would later create the conditions for Porter's rise.)

And the rest, of course, was history. Porter was elected in a surprising landslide against Thomas' Vice President, clamping down on political opposition, attacking the press, and promoting bigotry. Before the Porter government stopped taking statistics on it, damning figures on hate crimes showed that the Porterites were indeed succeeding, with him managing to score a coup d'etat against his own government, executing dissenters and cementing his rule. He turned one of the freest nations in the world (at least before the Jacobs Presidency) into one of the least free, flourishing in slavery and in brutality.

This is all well and good, but where does it leave us?

Legislature authorises military action, approves raft of diplomatic and economic measures aimed against Shaunteville

In a heated session with large-ranging repercussions, the Agarn house of representatives last night finalised the decision made by the house of elders, authorising military action by a margin less than expected. President Hans Brians has signed the authorisation, giving him formal authority to launch air and sea attacks on Shaunteville-la-patrici as part of an SU mission if deemed necessary. President Brians has heralded the step. However, many National Party-backed anti-war and anti-SU protestors descended on the national walkway outside of the legislature today, with signs such as 'NO war for foreign nations', 'LEAVE the Sekidean shambles!' and 'AGARN troops for AGARN citizens'.

Some have accused some of the protestors of harbouring their anti-Sekidean sentiments on the basis of Sjaanist fundamentalism, Neuew-Agarn ethnonationalism and Schweirinite Sivuk supremacy, allegations they deny strongly. However, the decision has caused increased tensions in the historically volatile city of Makander where loyalist Sivuk paramilitaries, disgruntled with the war and feeling betrayed by the Government, have been seen demonstrating and in some cases violently rioting.

The legislature has also passed laws that expel Shauntevillian diplomats and that impose a full embargo on Shaunteville-la-patrici. These laws are passed in accordance with the provisions of the resolution Agarntrop proposed to the Anterian World Assembly (AWA) that is expected to pass. The Agarn Defence Ministry hasn't ruled out joining a possible international blockade to enforce AWA sanctions against Shaunteville-la-patrici, although they claim such a blockade is unlikely.

Another Sons of the Gods protest occured today, this time in Yarnuegoa, a nearby city to the NIKFAN deployment site. They spoke of ending the Vultesian invasion and not letting the Nhaks take over as usual but also shouted the slogan of "Down with the corrupt NNC, Nhak sympathizing as can be", and "The President reigns sovereign" There was massive debate on whether or not to respond, and how. 6 of the Liberals wanted to refuse to comment to not stroke tensions, the Nationals, after the party took in a generous donation from Calmuer Industries, a proud SotG supporter, said that the Council should implement policies to appease them and to maybe lower NIKFAN's strength within the nation, while the Head Minister and the Faction of the People voted to condemn the protesters and make harsher laws to crack down on counter-revolutionary action. Due to no clear majority, no response was what was done.
