 The Kingdom of Prawasia | Mount Mirang released 1.5 km of Avalanche of Material, “Alert” Status The Centre for Geological Disaster Research and Technology Development (BPPTKG) stated that Mount Mirang has issued one material avalanche, Sunday (3/1). This falling material from Mirang has a sliding distance of 1.5 kilometres and leads to Cianmasin. Reported by Triple P News, Head of BPPTKG Purwo Darminto said, from observations at the Mount Mirang Observation Post (PGM) Brangkal, the avalanche of material came out at 05:52 local time with moderate intensity. The BPPTKG maintains the status of Mount Mirang at level III or “Alert”. The potential hazard due to the eruption of Mirang is estimated to be within a maximum radius of six kilometres from the peak. It is recommended that mining in the rivers that originate at Mount Mirang in Disaster-Prone Areas (KRB) III is stopped.
