The Federal Republic of Clarkstan

The topic of the debate was opened by Thomas Weber (independent candidate), who emphasized that Clarkstan has no problems when it comes to economic growth, but emphasized the need for economic decentralization and investment in the poorer south of the country. He said that companies that receive large state subsidies should invest in improvement of working conditions and not expansion for the sake of additional earnings.

Vyaceslav Kanaev (Acting president, right-wing candidate) recalled the successes of the Clarkstanian economy in previous years, as well as tax breaks for companies willing to increase wages for workers. According to him, the 3 biggest successes in the previous decade are the ever-present digitization of the economy and the expansion of the automotive industry. Finally, he announced that he will stop taxing overtime working hours.

Anton Vorobev (left-wing candidate) said in his speech that there are currents in the government that favor the privatization of Postal and that this is unacceptable, as is the reduction of the state's participation. He said that Postal is vital for the state. He reminded that before
for three years, the government privatized some prisons in the country. He also informed the public that the gaming company ParallelSoftware keeps workers at work for over 12 hours and called on the government to stop it. He himself promised to introduce paternity leave, state-guaranteed pensions and the introduction of a minimum wage.

Thalia Hines (liberal-civic candidate) criticized Kanaev while he was prime minister for excessive protectionism and control over important industrial institutions. She stated that the nationalization of the economy is the path to economic stagnation. She stated that Clarkstanian should attract more foreign investors.

Kanaev used the right of reply and said that he made it clear to everyone in the government that Postal will not be privatized and that the new government will engage in the issue of ParallelSoftware and their treatment.

The last topic of the pre-election debate was started by Vyaceslav Kanaev who said that Clarkstan should conduct an independent foreign policy and stay out of any organizations and enter into relations with countries based on bilateral agreements. He also referred to the situation between Cordomince and Yugoslavia where he said that Clarkstan should remain neutral but not blind to the events that will follow.

Thalia Hines believes that Clarkstan's membership in certain organizations can lead to an increase in the country's reputation as well as strengthening the country's security. She also believes that Clarkstan should make compromises in order to improve its position in the world.

Anton Vorobev is of the opinion that Clarkstan should be in an alliance with countries of similar geopolitical beliefs and that would be less concerned with antagonizing other countries and work more on the general strategy of world security.

Thomas Weber stated that Clarkstan should establish contacts with countries with sincere and pure intentions. He stated that honesty and respect for bilateral agreements is a key model of stability.

After the absolutely horrendous situation that occurred two days ago by the Yugoslavian State in our territorial waters, refusing to obey our laws and responding to our police agents with armed fire, our great government of Cordomonivence has spoken out about this horrendous situation.

Our beloved government assured that with the objective of reinforcing the NMTCL law and ensuring national security and integrity in territorial waters, if this situation is repeated and Yugoslavia once again disobeys the law and responds with fire, the Cordobez forces will not hesitate to respond immediately with fire at any armed Yugoslav ships. For this reason, Yugoslavia is strongly recommended to either stop breaking the law or to stop the use of Yugoslav ships as escorts for its convoys, since our kind government has offered the use of Cordobez ships to escort Yugoslav convoys.
