Los-Altos wrote:Peru had there first round of there general elections. 70.54% voted. 28% abstained. Eighteen people from different political parties ran for President. The top two winners which shall go for a second round are Pedro Castillo (he got 19.09% of the vote). He is leader of the political party "Peru Libre". His party is marxist . Second place was won by Keiko Fujimori (daughter of former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori who is currently in prison). She got 13.03% of the vote. Keiko says if she wins she will pardon her father from prison. Her party is "Fuerza Popular". Which is very conservative. Both candidates lean heavily left or heavily right but tend to agree on certain social issues like abortion. Both do not support abortion and so on. They say even if the marxist candidate wins that the Peruvian legislature is expected to lean more conservative. Pedro Castillo power base comes from the provinces especially the natives.

Both are terrible people UwU
