OOC: Also some background information so everyone can get a basic understanding of what's going on and why.

It is written within Berdune's Constitution that the nation shall undergo constant election season, in which those with enough connections, merit, popularity, and intelligence can keep up and maintain their place in power; with no restrictions whatsoever. Those on top will eventually fall to those more significant to the nation. Those that can keep their promise and insure security is what drives the nation together since the First Civil War.

When the nation was first founded, it was weak and easily victimized to socialism, and the only way to prevent its reach over the nation was the demand of constant election, so those in power will have a harder time maintaining it without the capitalistic exploits that the system could achieve. This has shifted the nation's culture in rejecting collective and socialistic ways, and have entered an age of extreme individualism, where on is always out to get them regardless of shared blood or bound. It is a constant playing of cards, completing for the better place in society. Those suspected of socialism or believing in their merits can be sought out, and be removed of their position, and be replaced as the "Undesirables", which is a limbo in society of people who have no desire to compete or couldn't because of a lack of connections or wealth. They are usually minorities, orphans, socialists in hiding, and the working class. These folk are often conscripted and thrown into the front lines, or are used for cheap labor.

It is said that the President is the highest position, but within the law. If he or she can't maintain their campaign promises, they will be immediately impeached and removed from office, only to be taken by their Vice President. Another option if proof arose that they were socialists, and/or had the intentions to remove the system of which the nation was re-founded on. A second attempt at a socialist coup wouldn't occur until the Second Civil War...

SIC: General Randall's defeat was flawlessly advertised through Piden's informants, bring on the dismay of national embarrassment to the country. During a meeting between President Piden and General Randall toke place, a heated debate rolled on for several hours. As it would appear the nation would know about his recent failure, a turn of events unfold...

"You have the drive, BARBER?" General Randall codes in a message through a public payphone. "Yes, RED-DRAGON." the voice on the other side responds.

Within in the day, before President Piden could announce General Randall's failure to the nation, a disturbing story comes out that the President has been confirmed a socialist by leaked documents detailing agreements the nation has made with the Red Bloc in overturning the nation's security in exchange for payloads of money. His connection to the "Totalists", an illegal and unrecognized communist party, was blown out of the blue, resulting in the hyper-active post-modern telecommunications systems. The controversary has sparked major debate, but eventually it was blown into the Second Civil War. Where those who have rejected the system have rebelled against the government.

Ironically, General Randall was appointed as the military operator of the situation, and was given full authority by Congress to grant him Presidential powers as the line of succession would grant him immediate authority over the position, as President Piden had a heart attack, and Vice President Carris is missing in action. The Second Civil War will rage on for months, until the softened rebels were disposed of by Randall's forces. Because of his ability to defeat the traitors, he was redeemed regardless of his past failure.

General Randall was elected the President of Berdune for a second term, and in which was fully recognized by the People. He begins his time in office in rebuilding the nation's military, something that was severely underfunded, and completely underappreciated. Those who died during the attack on Lemuria were given a proper memorial with the President apologizing for their losses to their families, in the attempt to find grace in their mercy.

Then so, many military upgrades were ordered in, including anti-nanobot technology, power armor and exo-suits, more powerful military machinery, and much more. Randall's eyes will remain on Lemuria, and his gaze will never wonder...

Berdune wrote:OOC: No he's not fascist, or socialist. He literally was assigned to kill socialists, so no. He would be a socio-conservative, or maybe closely related to that of right-leaning populistic.

OOC: I don't see anything in the post that says or indicates this character is a fascist. No examples of nationalization of industry, nothing about socialist programs, nothing I see as socialist or national socialist. Just seemed like there was a civil war, this guy was tasked with resolving it by his government what with his being a military person, ended up getting elected president afterward who at the beginning of his administration focused on national defense. If being a popular war hero and becoming president as a result of such popularity is fascist then I guess people the likes of George Washington or Eisenhower are fascist.
