For some reason, the public is convinced that all heads of state are either married or in a long-term relationship. Is there something untrustworthy about a leader who's single?
It would be brilliant if people were more interested in ideas rather than gossip. I suppose public figures must simply deal with this kind of nonsense and not worry about silly rumors. If there's nothing else to report, journalists will turn anything into a headline.
