![]() | I'm still fairly active. I mean, I was the only one doing the Zombie event on Halloween.
![]() | What's your opinion of the Prime Directive? Should authorities take more active measures to prevent the exploitation of more primitive cultures? Is there need for a specific authority to prevent criminal use of time travel?
![]() | The Prime Directive is overall a good philosophy that prevents cultural destructions and under most conditions helps remove a major ethical burden from starship captains. It also normally allows for active protection of less technologically advanced cultures from exploitation by other species and from certain natural disasters if the existence of non-native sapient life can be hidden from the local population. There are specific authorities to prevent the criminal use of time travel, but they were founded well after the 24th century when special temporal sensors were invented that let them scan for time travelers and changes in history without having to actually be near the event in either space or time.
![]() | It's a little slow here, but there's usually people here if something interesting is going on. Sorry about missing the Zombies outbreak - I think I had something else going on at the time. We've had trouble figuring out things to keep people interested. I agree with Stjerne about the Prime Directive. It seems like the Prime Directive does allow for preventing exploitation of more primitive cultures. A police force for preventing exploitation would be possible, but politically dangerous. It would need to be kept quiet if it existed. I've never looked into the rules regarding time travel, so I have no idea if they are adequate.
![]() | It's fine. It was just frustrating at the time, especially since there was zero feedback from anyone else at the time.
![]() | I should really tell the Chancellery staff that my relatives can't simply invite themselves in when I'm meeting with MPs, the Chief of Staff and diplomats. Just today, my precocious niece offered her unsolicited opinion on a matter of public policy. Shortly after that, my nephew thought he had some brilliant idea about public broadcasting.
![]() | I have similar problems, I've tried tell my nieces and nephews it's inappropriate, but it does no good. At least none of them have started taking diplomacy into their own hands like Billy Carter... They like being on TV, so I send them out to keep the reporters busy if I don't want to talk to them. I'm still trying to figure out why the press thinks I'm having an affair when I'm not married!
![]() | For some reason, the public is convinced that all heads of state are either married or in a long-term relationship. Is there something untrustworthy about a leader who's single?
